2008 Commentaries: Thank you for putting this together! We had a great time! Awesome! So much fun! And we learned so much. As a single parent, I would never have investigated camping and the outdoors as an option for family fun, but now I feel confidents to try this on our own. There are so many state parks to explore. Exploring nature is good for children to be experiencing on a consistent basis my sons didn’t touch their games (Nintendo) at all! Their eyes ears and visual senses were all working to see, hear and smell all the bugs, animals and grasses (poison ivy)! Thank you to all the girls and their hard work, meals and piro Patty who kept the fire going! Ann, Jake and Aaron Oduber
Overall an outstanding weekend. Activities had a good variety and good timing to keep kids interest. Kids loved the fishing, cooking, bug hunting and bird watching activities. Staff was positive, outgoing and helpful the entire weekend. If you need a testimonial just let me know. We’ll plan to be back next year too! Craig Brabec Myriah Hunt’s favorite part of BOF: Playing and sleeping in a tent! Excellent organization, planning. Loved the comradery that you instilled in all. Thank you for your patience and cooperation with all. Great “kid” ideas that we all enjoyed. Fish was scrumptious! Ruth Wilson |
