The Division of Wildlife Resources and the University of Illinois Extension have launched the Living with Illinois Wildlife website. The site will increase Illinois residents’ appreciation of native wildlife, serve as a tool to assist you with human wildlife conflicts and will make you aware of any applicable Illinois Conservation laws.

Enter our 2008 Photo Contest

Wildlife Prairie State Park invites you to enter your stunning nature images in our 1st Annual photography competition.

We’re looking for beautiful nature photography representing the diversity of life at Wildlife Prairie State Park.  Your own original digital images of the Park’s lands, waters, plants, animals and people are all eligible for the competition.

How to Enter

Images can be submitted to one of two categories: Best photo of “A Place We Toured” or " Best Park Photo". 

Judges reserve the right to move images from one category to the other based on eligibility.

Reserved for photographs taken
during the Monthly Photo Tour. 

 

          Best Park photo Open to all photographs that do not qualify for the
Best Photo from a “Place we toured” category.



The Prizes

On the last Saturday of each month 1 photograph from each of the two categories will be selected as finalists.  One Grand Prize winner will be selected from these finalists.
      
•    The Grand Prize Winner will receive A One Year Membership to Wildlife Prairie State Park and the winning photograph will be posted on Wildlife Prairie State Park’s website.

The Fine Print
The Wildlife Prairie State Park 2008 Digital Photography Competition (the “Contest”) is open to ALL photographers at least 18 years of age, except employees of Wildlife Prairie State Park and the immediate families of such employees.  The contest is open to all participants regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Photo submission must be uploaded by 11:59 Central Mountain time on the last Saturday of each month, 2008.  Please review the full rules before entering.  And good luck!

Submit your photos to Flickr using this link. Simply create a Flickr account and then join our group, Wildlife Prairie State Park. Then, upload your pictures to our group.
