Bison Ground's Blessing

Smudging, the traditional act of cleansing.Saturday, April 19, 2008 – 10:00 a.m.

Rain or Shine!!!

Witness the annual Ground's Blessing ceremony and the release of the Park’s Bison into their summer pasture. 

 

Interpreters will be available to answer any questions.  Tobacco/corn meal will be provided for those wishing to make their own prayers in the traditional way.

 

Ceremony participants: Be in your regalia and smudged before the ceremony start time.

Visitors: Please remove your hats during the ceremony. Please, do not take pictures once the ceremony begins.

 

Spirit of the Rainbow has graciously agreed to sing for us again this year.
