Distance: 800 meter swim, 10.2 mile bike, 4 mile run

** This event will be observing the USA Triathlon Competitive Rules. **

Course Description: A 1/2 mile open-lake swim starts off the day. Transition to the 5-mile mountain bike loop – done twice – which offers a variety of unique scenery and terrain that only Wildlife Prairie Park can provide! A majority of the trail system traverses through reclaimed lands from the old coal mining days, which left behind ponds, lakes, ravines, ridges and even rocky terrain, rare phenomena on Central IL trails! Mixed in are stands of old growth forest and blazing fast paths through the open prairies that are the park’s namesake! Finish with a four-mile trail run on the paths near Wildlife's native animal enclosures!

Registration Fees:

• Individual: $68 per person
• Relay: $99 per team of three

All Registration fees include a t-shirt, water, lunch and free admission into the park for participants AND their families for the entire day.

All non-USAT members: You will be required to purchase a $10.00 one-day USAT membership to participate.

Check-In: 7am-8:30am at the Parkside Pavilion (located just across Taylor Road from the main entrance into Wildlife Prairie State Park.)

Divisions:

• Individual Age Groups (female & male): 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79
• Relays: 39 & under co-ed / 40 & up co-ed

Awards: Overall winners and top 2 finishers in each age group.

USAT wetsuit rules: When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wetsuit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wetsuit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Specifically: the athlete will not be eligible for XTERRA Points.

Lodging: Need a place to stay? Book your stay at the Hotels at Grande Prairie and receive a special rate of $109 per night at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Wingate by Wyndham or the Country Inn and Suites. Just be sure to mention XTERRA when making your reservation.
